I like how you used カタカナ to demonstrate the boy singing on the lotus bed--it's interesting how we might conceive of that as both emphasizing his words and showing them as being in song, more like sounds than meanings.

ペンさん、the kanji counting is great, so appropos of learning the counters....I would only love to be counting on a lotus flower myself (maybe they will do that for next year's class). とてもいいですね!
